Recycling

The recycling center is conveniently located on the north side of the community building at 722 Patterson Street. Please deposit items in the roll around green dumpsters. Please do not put other trash in dumpsters. We take only the following recyclables:

Cardboard (corrugated only! no cereal boxes) goes in the brown dumpster on the north next to the alley.

Newspaper - no slick prints, no magazines, catalogs, or phone books.

Clear #2 plastic milk, water, vinegar type jugs - One gallon and 1/2 gallon size.

Clear #1 plastic water, pop, gatorade type bottles.

Aluminum Cans - please rinse and crush.

Tin Cans - washed, please remove ends and crush.

All Cambridge resident's trash is picked up once weekly on Wednesday morning. Please do not place any yard waste in trash dumpsters. Please call the city office at 308-697-3711 for more information.

Landfill location: Drive north on Road 409 (Furnas Avenue becomes Road 409) and turn at the first left/west on Road 722. Turn right/north again just before the yellow house and the landfill is just up the road.

Grass and Tree landfill schedule:

April-September-October
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

May-June-July-August
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

All other months closed except by appointment.

Grass and Leaves - no charge
Limbs - $3.00 a pick-up load
No Contractors
